Dotted granite mountains full of lakes, isolated fjords and often stormy seas, all surrounded by midnight sunlight makes the Lofoten Islands one of the most spectacular places on earth.
On the northern coast of Norway, already in the Arctic Circle, these islands provide us with a multitude of paths that are not too frequent and in which in some of them the sun will illuminate us on the night walks.
This archipelago is made up of 4 main islands: Austvagoy, Vestvagoy, Flakstadoy and Moskenesoy. And two more distant: Veroy and Rost.
Despite being in the Arctic, thanks to the Gulf Stream, they enjoy an exceptionally benign climate, even in the middle of the winter.
We will arrive to Bodo via Oslo and from there we will go to the Lofoten Islands by boat. We will establish the base camp in one of the best places next to Leknes, on the island of Vestvagoy, housed in the fishing huts called Rorburs next to the water fjords.
The different excursions we will do will take us to landscapes that look like a movie, steep mountains surrounded by lakes and fjords.
Every day we will do hiking itineraries, from 5 to 7 hours, some circulars and other linear ones. We will walk through the places that, with the experience of the other years, have liked us more and we have found more fascinating. These places will be: Whales Beach, Pic Munkan, Guratinden, Bulitinden, etc.
