A trip to Ladakh is always fascinating for the traveler who likes the adventure and if we still do the same, pleasure is better, we will be impregnated with the landscape and the good work of those people.

Small Tibet as it is called Ladakh has preserved the monasteries much better than in Tibet itself, we can still find paintings from the 10th century.

In this remote region of Rupshu there are nomadic shepherds who fled from Tibet, we can also see some lakes of a beautiful turquoise color, some of them salty and are forced to migratory birds

The contrast in the landscapes will make this trip an unforgettable memory

Day 1: Barcelona Flight - Delhi

Departure from Barcelona to Delhi

Day 2: Delhi - Leh

Arrival in the morning in Delhi, where we will connect with the flight that will take us to Leh, the capital of Ladakh to 3500m in height. We will arrive soon in the morning, we will move to the hotel where we will rest to begin a good acclimatization. Night at hotel in Leh.

Day 3: Visits to the Leh Valley

After breakfast we will go on a jeep to visit Shankar Gompa, Shanti Stupa, Tsemo Castle and the Phyang Monastery.

  • Shankar Gompa - is the first monastery of the Gelukpa order (yellow hats) that settled in Ladakh. It is located in the middle of the city of Leh.
  • Shanti stupa - it is a great stupa visible from many parts of the city, it was finished building 1985 a year and was a legacy of the Japanese Guru Fuji.
  • The castle Tsemo Castle is called the tower of victory in Ladakh.

The rest of the day visit the local markets of the city of Leh.

Day 4: Visits to Buddhist monasteries

After breakfast, visit the most important monasteries around Leh:

  • Shey, who was the ancient capital and where the Kings of the Ladakh were established, before moving to the Leh Palace. In the main temple of the monastery there is a great Buddha made by Nepalese artisans.
  • Thiksey - it is a great monastery located on top of a hill and beneath it is located all the other houses of the monastery and the town. It was founded in the 15th century by the Gelukpa monks.
  • Hemis - is one of the largest and largest Ladakh cities. The Hemis monastery was established in 1672 BC when Senge Nampar Gyalva was reigning.
Day 5: Leh - Rumtse 4200m - Kyamar 4520m

From Leh, on a road trip that crosses the Indus Valley and with several monasteries along the way, you reach Rumtse at 4200m. We will load all the mules that will accompany us every day, along with all the local staff. From here, we will begin the trek and with about 4 hours we reach Kyamar (Chorten Sumdo) 4520m, where we will camp next to a fountain, in a very green valley. Night at camp.

Day 6: Kyamar 4520m

This day will help us to acclimatize the heights, those who want to climb a summit of 5 thousand meters above the camp and return to sleep at Kyamar. Or it can also be used to rest and go adapting to the height.

Day 7: Kyamar - Kyamar La - Tisaling 4750m

After breakfast, we will begin the ascent to the Kyamar La (5180m) hill, with spectacular views of the Changthang mountain range and Kang Yatzé, and we will go down the other side, where we will find huts of shepherds with herds of goats, sheep and yeah Then you will continue a comfortable descent to our camp in the pastures of Tisaling (4750m). 6 - 7 hours. Sleep in camp

Day 8: Tisaling - Thratsang La - Thugje 4590m

This day with an easy but long climb, we will reach the great Thratsang hill to 5170m. From this hill, there are incredible views, from the surrounding mountains and from our next destination: Tsokar Lake, where we will arrive in about 4-5 hours more. Our camp will be located on the lower part of the village of Thugje. At the top there is a beautiful monastery we can visit.

Day 9: Thugje - Phuk 4600m

An easy path for a track next to Lake Tsokar, where there is luck we can see some of the migratory birds that stop every year. From here we take a path to the right, arriving at Phuk, beautiful village, where we will camp. In the afternoon we can ascend a small summit next to the village, some 200m of unevenness, and that will give us precious and incredible views of the surroundings. 5 hours. Sleep in camp

Day 10: Phuk - Rajun Karu - Gyama Barma 5100m

We will cross an ice creek and we will gradually climb towards Horlam Kongka La (4930 m.), Where we will enjoy the magnificent turquoise view of Tsokar Lake, which we leave behind. After a pleasant descent we will arrive at Rajun Karu, where we will find some groups of Tibetan nomads, who escaped from their country to be occupied by China, with their flocks of yak, sheep and pashmina goats. After sharing some time with them, we will continue our journey now to Kyamayuri La (5.430 m). The effort of the ascent will be rewarded for the splendid view from the neck. On a gradual descent, we will reach a very green valley. where we will camp, Gyama Barma (5150 m). 7 - 8 hours. Sleep in camp

Day 11: Gyama Barma - Korzog Phu 4630m

After breakfast, we will climb our next hill, the Kostse La (5380 m). Then the path will take us to the green valley of Gyama. We will ascend gradually, following the narrow valley to the last hill, the Yalung Nyau La (5430 m). Surrounded by snow-covered mountains, we will discover Lake Tsomoriri. Going for about 3 hours, we will reach summer pastures, called Korzog Phu, where we will camp for two days. It is surrounded by herds of goats and yams, as well as some peaks of 6000m. 7 - 8 hours. Sleep in camp

Day 12: Korzog Phu - Korzog - Korzog Phu

Day reserved for acclimatization or unforeseen events. We will go on a walk to Korzog, beautiful village next to Lake Tsomoriri. We will visit the monastery and we will also take a walk along Lake Tsomoriri. 3 - 4 hours. Sleep in camp

Day 13: Korzog Phu - CB Thargang The 5200m

This day, from the Korzog Phu meadows, we will climb comfortably to the meadows on the Thargang Hill bank. We will find pastors with their herds of goats. We will also find riders who mounted on their horses pass on the other side of the valley through the Thargang Pass, almost six thousand meters. We will mount the camp at about 5200m altitude. 4 - 5 hours. Sleep in camp

Day 14: CB Thargang La - Top Thargang Ri 6106m

We will get up early, to follow the path that leads to Thargang, a few years there is hardly any snow on this path. Then, on an easy path, we will reach the Thargang Ri peak at 6106m. From the summit the view is spectacular, with the Chamser 6600m, Lungser 6650m, Chalung 6500m mountains, highlighting the beautiful meadows and Lake Tsomoriri, a turquoise blue below. After enjoying the top views, we will go down to the camp, where we will spend the night. 7 - 8 hours. Sleep in camp

Day 15: CB Thargang - Korzog 4500m

We will descend calmly to the Korzog Phu pastures and then to the camp beside the Korzog river. We will be able to explore again the village and surroundings of Korzog, as well as Lake Tsomoriri ... 4 - 5 hours. Night at camp.

Day 16: Korzog - Leh

After breakfast, we will drive to Leh, always next to the Indus River, passing through Chhumathang, famous for its medicinal properties. Free evening to Leh Lodging in Leh hotel.

Day 17: Leh - Delhi

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to fly to Delhi. Visit of the city. Sleep in hotel in Delhi

Day 18: Return to Barcelona

After breakfast, return to Barcelona, ​​where we will arrive at 21 hours
