Our destiny

In the province of Málaga there are unique landscapes that in many cases have become protected areas. Wonderful parks and natural spaces in which it is worth losing to get back together. I came to discover them!

The "Sierra de las Nieves" Natural Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve, houses the largest pine forest of the planet. The Serra de Grazalema is another of the areas that enjoys this protection in the province of Málaga and in which you can enjoy extraordinary landscapes.

The Natural Park of the Gorge of the Gaitans is one of those places where you can lose yourself and forget about stress. Among its vertical walls the Caminito del Rey runs, from where we can see prints of extraordinary beauty. Without a doubt, one of the most spectacular and surprising landscapes of the interior of the province of Málaga.

Strong points:

  • Natural place "Gorge of the Gaitanes"
  • The "Caminito del Rey"
  • El Torcal de Antequera
  • The Pinsapar of "The Sierra de las Nieves"
  • Natural Park of "La Sierra de Grazalema"
  • Natural Park of "Los Alcornocales"

Day 1: Fly to Malaga

Departure of the flight to Malaga. From there, we will go to the Hotel de Ronda.

Day 2: Sierra de Grazalema

Sierra de Grazalema. Considered the rainiest place in the Iberian Peninsula, the Natural Park is declared Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Vertebrate for important routes that tell us about its richness of fauna and its enormous biodiversity, Grazalema is a paradise where the nature lover of the state will dream dreams between dense forests. 13km, slope: + 370m, -990m

Day 3: Parque Natural "Los Alcornocales"

Parque Natural "Los Alcornocales" Halfway between the provinces of Málaga and Cádiz, the Sauceda route passes through the middle of the park, where the largest evergreen forest mass of Europe is concentrated. On this route we will be immersed in the so-called "Enchanted Forest", made up of ghostly trees with logs of unusual forms, surrounded by a dense vegetation that does not seem to belong to the South of Andalusia. 13,6km, + 635m, -635m

Day 4: Natural Park "Sierra de las Nieves"

"Sierra de las Nieves" is the queen of the Málaga mountains, where there is the highest peak, El Torrecilla de 1919m. We will be able to see one of the largest Pinsapares in Spain. 19,8 km, + 940m, -940m

Day 5: "Caminito del Rey"

"Caminito del Rey". We will make the famous and currently restored Path hanging in the Congost of the Gaitanes (It is a very safe itinerary). 8km, 3 hours. Slope + 70m, -190m. In the afternoon transfer to the hotel of Mijas Pueblo, we will have free time to visit this beautiful and picturesque town, famous for the burro-taxis.

Day 6: "Arab Stairs and Pico Huma"

We will climb the famous Arab Scale and we will reach the pic Huma, where we can enjoy breathtaking views. 14km, + 750m, -750m

Day 7: "Torcal de Antequera"

We will walk along the spectacular Torcal de Antequera, declared from the 1989 Natural Park. 6,5km, + 125m, -125m.

Day 8: Malaga and return flight

Morning of tranquility and transfer to Malaga. At noon return home.

It was attracted by the Caminito del Rey but I was surprised by the other Natural Parks. All a wonder of nature.
